The real moment of illumination came when he decided to base the shows design on actual art from medieval manuscripts. It would be the perfect way to immerse the viewer in the medieval setting, while still maintaining it’s absurd, whimsical tone.

Originally, this show was supposed to be live-action, but with how costly period-pieces are to produce & the gruesome reality of a medieval siege, Jordan decided to alter the show into an animated series.

Our animator Cam was truly a godsend. Nicole & Jordan lacked the skills & technical prowess to steer the project beyond the animatic stage, but as soon as Cam joined our party, he kicked us right into high-gear!

The process of creating the fully animated teaser was painstakingly slow. Our team could only afford to give their spare-time.

We also had the company of a bard, Tyler, who created a wonderful score to accompany our teaser. The music was really the thread that stitched the whole tapestry together.

Our campaign saw a decent bit of momentum on Instagram, generating 1.2 Million views & 3.7k followers in only 2 months. But unfortunately, our Kickstarter campaign would ultimately fail...
And as we neared the conclusion of the teaser, we brought on someone who would help us market the show on Social media; Chas, who had previously worked with Jordan on his sketch comedy series “SKETCH Symbol”. Now we were ready to begin our campaign!
We had many collaborators share their creative gifts; fan-art, an ornate medieval map of Scatford, even a hand-embroidered Siege The Day blouse!
